PaintBuster Tutorial 5: Retouch
This tutorial describes a typical retouch job.
On purpose, the retouch have been overdone a bit, just to show the points.
One should always be careful not to overdo the retouch. It's easy to reach a point where the image no longer look natural.

This is the original I started out with.
|

|
I made the eyeballs whiter, and the eyelids and eyebrows darker, using the normal Color brush with white/black color, anti-aliasing and 90% transparency.
With so much transparency, I had to do several brush strokes, but this made it easy to maintain the original structure. |

|
I removed wrinkles and the blue/dark portions under the eyes using the Clone pen. I cloned skin colors from just below the eye wrinkles and painted over the wrinkles.
I used anti-aliasing and 75% transparency.
Again, with so much transparency, I had to do several brush strokes, but as mentioned before, this made it easy to maintain the original structure. |

|
Finally, to smoothen things out, I used the Blend brush.
Again I used anti-aliasing and 75% transparency and the result was nearly virgin skin and maybe a bit overdone. |
